One morning when I crawled out of my tent in Argentina, a dense cloud was just rolling through. I got out to explore a bit, and the cloud quickly blew away to reveal an amazing landscape.
I had planned just to take a few shots and then go back to the camp and make some breakfast. But then, I saw something interesting just around the other side of the rocks. And then, I got over there and saw something else that might be interesting. And it was. And then I saw something even further away...

1. Click the Add Themes link under the search box. Some nice Google interns have put this in red to remind us that this is New!
2. Scroll through the Themes Gallery, select the one you love most of all, and click Get This Theme
Warning - you can never change this theme for the rest of your life! Ever. So, choose carefully…
3. Click See More Nature Themes and then select one.

This is me, I work on the web.
I'm an interaction designer. I live in the capital city of Australia, Canberra. I love the web. I love the possibilities it offers. I love how I can keep across my friends' lives fairly easily and even keep up, in a fashion, with the little bits and pieces that form all our lives, thanks to Flickr, Twitter, Facebook and the multitude of cool stuff out there.
I first discovered the internet back in mid 1995 with my first exposure to IRC. I created my first (god-awful) homepage in 1997 complete with the Under Construction animated stick figure, and I think I even experimented with the blink element for a very short period of time!
Not everything revolves so soundly around the web though. I have family members who have email but still prefer to pick up the phone and talk to me. I even have two friends who have an email address but hardly ever use it!
I love music, particularly jazz. I sing in an acapella group called Raw Honey, which is really an excuse to get together with friends, eat fine foods, drink lovely wines, and do some singing! I also enjoy playing my djembe, the piano and my violin. I have a sister who is a professional musician.
Hubby and I share a love of photography. We spent our honeymoon last year in a camper van travelling up north of Western Australia, stopping where we felt like, and living and breathing photography for 13 days straight.
I really enjoy learning new stuff, exploring new ideas and places, learning about how we interact with each other and with systems. I also love meeting lots of people but interact best with small groups.
I'm also quite a shy person. I used to be almost chronically shy and it's taken quite a long time to get to my current level of shyness. But I do love to laugh! And smile! I have a great sense of humour which is expressed in my love of witty t-shirts and British comedy.
I may be fairly quiet, but I'm deeply passionate about a lot of things - accessibility, web standards, great user experiences, learning and sharing knowledge, travelling, photography, science fiction books, caring for the environment...
I love life.

I've just opened the door to the postman, who delivered me my second free gadget. Last time I got a brand new Nintendo Wii games console, and this time I got a brand new, unopened 8GB iPhone, 100% free. I didn't even have to pay for postage!
Here's how to get free stuff online...
While surfing the internet, I saw an ad for a website called "Free Stuff Exposed". It promised to show me how to manipulate a loophole in modern marketing practices which meant I could get free gadgets. I was totally skeptical at first (*nothing* is really free, right? There are huge, thriving and extremely active communities of freebie seekers who provide referrals for each other, either as a trade, or for cash. So, you can pay people to complete your referrals, or you can promise to do one for them if they do one for you.Even if you pay people - each, you can still get your gadgets at less than half price. The important thing is: you don't HAVE to pay people. Heck,you don't even have to fill out offers for them – if you're nice, they might just do it for you for nothing!
The crux of the matter is this: you can sign up to these community forums (atno cost, of course), and start trading referrals immediately. Then you'll have an endless supply of referrals, on-demand, whenever you need it.
